Sense Field Review

Concert Review: April 23, 2000

by Christopher Cunico

I attended Sensefield's performance with Built to Spill at the 9:30 Club in Washington D.C. on Easter Sunday. I must say, my third time seeing Sensefield was not a disappointment. The band was very tight, and they composed their set of a range of material, including songs from every album in addition to the Smiths cover. VERY bright spots in the performance were Dreams, Leia, and Voice. The entire set, however, was brilliant. The only problems I found with the night were the insane amounts of cigarette smoke circulating the club and the fact that Sensefield's set had to end. They celebrated a joyous holiday with happiness and smiles and rock n' roll. I would like to thank them for coming to the D.C./Baltimore area. I wish them the best of luck for the rest of the tour. Peace.
