The Horse is Alive

The Horse is Alive

Undoubtedly the best song ever by Sense Field

This song is built around four chords C G D and Em

there are quiet a few variations on these chords throughout the song

(intro)/(verses)- the C is merely walking down 3 times before playing D

----------- ---2--
--1-------1 ---3--
----------- x3 then to ---2--
--2-------2 ------
--3-------2 ------
----------- ------

after the first verse

sweet... the horse is alive darling we're gonna ride...
--------2-------------3-----------3----2---------------
--------3-------------3-----------3----3---------------
--------2------------------------------2--------------- x2
--2-------------------2-----------2------------------2-
--2-------------------3-----------3------------------2-
-------------------------------------------------------

chorus
       the horse is alive...
---3--3------------3-----3----
---3--3------------3-----4----
------------------------------
-------------------2-----2----
---2---------------3-----3----
---3--2-----------------------

those are the main parts of the song they could be wrong but that
is what i am hearing
it sounds great when you just sit down with an acoustic and sing it

Note from the Editor:

I'm not sure if it's part of the chord progression, but I'm hearing an electric guitar line during the chorus that goes like:

D----5-55555-55554-44444-44442-22222-22221-------0-------
     ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^
The carrots mean accent the strum there.
It might even be played with octaves added on the B string, I'm not sure, but I'm hearing something like that.
I'm also hearing an additional repeated strumming of the 5th fret of the B string in the last chorus.
